ER2209 Welding Filler Wire is specially developed for welding Duplex Stainless Steel 2205 (UNS S31803 / S32205) and similar duplex grades. Manufactured in accordance with AWS A5.9 ER2209 and ASME SFA 5.9, this filler wire delivers outstanding mechanical strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and superior resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. It is widely used in offshore, petrochemical, desalination, marine, and chemical processing industries.

What is ER2209 Welding Filler Wire?
ER2209 is a duplex stainless steel welding wire containing approximately 22% Chromium, 9% Nickel, 3% Molybdenum, and Nitrogen. It is intentionally alloyed with slightly higher nickel content than the base metal to maintain the proper ferrite-austenite balance in the weld deposit, resulting in high strength and excellent corrosion resistance.
