Hastelloy C276 Pipe Fittings
Hastelloy C276 Pipe Fittings (2.4819) has a very good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Worth mentioning for C276 is also the exceptional resistance to corrosive media under oxidizing and reducing conditions.
C276 / UNS N10276 is a nickel chrome molybdenum alloy with wolfram addition and extremely low C and Si content.
It’s resistance to corrosion is excellent even in application areas with corrosive media and under oxidising/reducing conditions, e.g. concentrated solutions of oxidising salts (FeIII / CuCl), wet chlorine and chloride solutions.
2.4819 is a solid-solution-strengthened, nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with a small amount of tungsten, which exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in an assortment of harsh environments. Applications include and are not limited to, stack liners, ducts, dampers, scrubbers, stack-gas re-heaters, heat exchangers, reaction vessels and evaporators. Industries where C276 can be utilized are petrochemical and chemical processing, power generation, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper production and waste treatment to name a few.

Applications of Hastelloy C276 :
Hastelloy C276 is often used in the chemical and petrochemical industries. The material is preferably used in cases where hot contaminated mineral acids, solutions and organic acids (such as acetic and formic acid) and seawater occur. Other areas of application include:
- • Sulfuric acid cooler
- • pulp and paper industry, for example for pulping and bleaching vessel
- • Equipment and components for Sour Gas
- • Washer and particular retrieval heater and fans for continuous wet combustion – flue gas and desulphurisation
- • Reactors for the production of acetic acid
- • Production and processing technology contaminated phosphoric acid
