Description
ASTM A182 F5 Round Bars
A182 F5 Round Bars refers to a forged alloy steel material grade under the ASTM A182 specifications.
F5 is a specific type of low alloy steel, commonly known as 5Cr-1/2Mo (5% Chromium, 1/2% Molybdenum) steel, part of the Chromium-Molybdenum family.
ASTM A182/A182M : The standard specification for forged or rolled alloy and stainless steel pipe flanges, forged fittings, and valves and parts for high-temperature service.
F5 (12crmo19-5), is an alloy steel with chrome that has elevated mechanical characteristics and it is suitable for the fabrication of parts of installations that require an excellent resistance to embrittlement under pressure and at elevated temperature (up to 600°c).

Applications of F5 Grade :
ASTM A182 F5 is used for high-temperature and high-pressure service in industries like:
Refineries
Heat exchangers and boiler systems
Oil and Gas/Petrochemical Industry : Especially in refinery service (High temp/high pressure applications).
Power Generation : Components in boilers, steam lines, and heat exchangers.
Forged Piping Components : Most commonly manufactured into flanges (like Weld Neck, Slip-On, Blind) and forged fittings (like elbows, tees, couplings).
