AMS 5643 17-4PH Round Bars
AMS 5643 17-4PH Round Bars is a Martensitic, Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steel that provides an outstanding combination of High Strength and Hardness along with excellent Corrosion Resistance. 17-4PH has good fabricating characteristics and can be age hardened by a single step, low temperature treatment. 17-4PH is a versatile material widely used in the Aerospace, Chemical, Petrochemical, Food Processing, Paper and General Metal working Industries.
AMS 5643 is a Aerospace Material Specifications of UNS S17400 that covers Corrosion Resistant Steel in form of Bars and Wires. It is also known as Corrosion Resistant 17Cr-4.5Ni-4Cu Precipitation Hardening AMS5643.
17-4PH Round Bars are used where high strength and good corrosion resistance are required as well as for applications requiring high fatigue strength, good resistance to galling and stress corrosion resistance. It is suitable for intricate parts requiring machining and welding and where freedom for distortion is a requirement. Used in aerospace, defence
