C17510 Beryllium Copper Round Bars
C17510 Beryllium Copper Round Bars is an alloy used primarily in applications that require high thermal or electric conductivity. The alloy offers good strength and hardness characteristics coupled with conductivity in the range of 45-60 percent of copper with Ultimate Tensile and Hardness.
Offering Corrosion Resistant characteristics similar to pure copper, C17510 is fully heat-treated, and therefore, no further treatments are required. The resulting material is non-magnetic and thermal fatigue is excellent. The general machinability and brazing characteristics of the alloy is also good. Weldability of the alloy is considered to be only fair though C17510 is highly weldable to copper.
C17510 Round Bars is a heat treatable copper alloy with a high tensile stregnth. C17510 is utilized when a combination of very good mechanical stregnth along with moderate electrical and thermal conductivity is required. The hardness properties of C17510 Beryllium Copper (CuBe or BeCu) are comparable to tool steel.
