UNS T20813 Round Bars
ASTM A681 UNS T20813 Round Bars is a Hot Work, Chromium Tool Steel that has Good Resistance to softening at Higher Temperatures. This grade also contains some alloying elements such as vanadium and molybdenum for improved strengthening. The higher temperature resistence makes it suitable for hot dies and high temp extrusion dies.
UNS T20813 / AISI H13 is a Tool Steel, is a 5% chromium, hot work tool steel designed particularly for applications requiring extreme toughness combined with good red hardness. It will provide an extra margin of safety in tools subject to hammer blows and those tools containing deep recesses and sharp corners. While H13 die steel has been designed primarily as a hot work tool steel, it has found many applications in cold work tools where extra toughness is required at the sacrifice of some wear resistance.
H13 is a chromium molybdenum hot work steel well known for its exceptional hot hardness and abrasion resistance, making it ideal for a variety of hot work applications. H13 can also be used in cold work applications thanks to its general hardness and toughness.
